Wedding Makeup and Hair Artist in the Cotswolds

Bridal makeup and hairstyling at Cotswolds wedding venues, from Calcot and Barnsley House to Lords of the Manor, Daylesford and the Broadway estates. I am based in Cheltenham, on the edge of the escarpment, and travel across the region to wherever you are getting ready.

Cornwell Manor wedding in the Cotswolds

Makeup and hair across the Cotswolds

Country house weddings are the bulk of my work here, alongside special occasion bookings, branding shoots and private lessons.

Bridal makeup and hair

Weekend weddings and larger bridal parties, usually with everyone staying on site, which makes for a calm morning: one room, one running order and nobody driving anywhere. A trial at my studio first, then the day itself.

Special occasion makeup

Parties, black tie and the shoots that come with them. A single appointment, at your venue, at home, or at my studio in Cheltenham.

Lessons and masterclasses

One to one, at your own dressing table or at my studio in Cheltenham. We work with your own kit and your own face rather than a professional kit you will never own, so you leave able to repeat it yourself.

Cotswolds wedding venues

I am an independent makeup artist and hairstylist, not part of any venue's in-house team. These are places across the region where I have worked, from country house hotels to restored barns. Your venue not being listed makes no difference, because I come to wherever you are getting ready, estate cottage or tent in a field.

Getting ready at a Cotswolds venue

A clear, stress-free process from initial contact to your last dance.

1

I come to you

A hotel suite, the manor's own bridal cottage, or a house taken for the weekend. I bring everything including my own lighting, which matters in a room with small mullioned windows and thick stone walls.

2

Timings

I work the running order backwards from your ceremony time and send it through in advance, so everyone knows when they are needed. As a guide, about an hour a person for hair and makeup together and a little longer for you.

3

The trial

Two to three hours at my studio in Cheltenham, up to two variations, with a questionnaire beforehand and photographs afterwards. We settle the look well in advance, so nothing is being decided on the wedding morning.

4

How many I can cover

Up to five of you on my own, including the bride. Country house weddings often run larger, so a second makeup artist or hairstylist can join me for £50, arranged in advance.

5

Travel and fees

On the morning I come to you, from Broadway, Winchcombe and Northleach down to Tetbury, Malmesbury and Castle Combe. A travel fee may apply depending on the distance from Cheltenham, and I confirm it with your quote before you book. I check the approach to your venue in advance too, because the lanes and drives out here are not always obvious.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a fantastic experience. It took me a while to understand what I wanted for my hair and makeup but Nadezhda was so patient and kind. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and comfortable with trusting her to work her magic. I’ve had nothing but compliments and it’s all thanks to her.

Frequently asked questions

Which Cotswolds venues have you worked at?

Country house hotels, private estates and barns across the region, including Calcot, Barnsley House, Lords of the Manor, Daylesford and the Broadway estates. If your venue is not on the list above it makes no difference, so just ask.

Do you travel across the Cotswolds from Cheltenham?

Yes, right across the region, from Broadway and Winchcombe to Tetbury and Castle Combe. A travel fee may apply depending on the distance from Cheltenham, and I confirm the exact figure with your quote before you book.

Do you offer a trial before the wedding day?

Yes, and I would always recommend one. Trials run two to three hours at my studio in Cheltenham and we explore up to two variations. I photograph the finished look and note every product, so the wedding morning is a repeat of something you have already seen on yourself.

Can you style the whole bridal party at a country house hotel?

Up to five people on my own, including the bride. Country house weddings often run larger than that, so a second makeup artist or hairstylist can join me for £50, arranged in advance.

Do you take bookings in the Cotswolds that are not weddings?

Yes. Special occasion makeup and hair for parties and black tie events, branding and photography shoots, and private lessons.
